Naturalnym tłem wyborczych podrygów jest w tym roku jesienna aura i lejące co pewien czas strugi deszczu. Za to drogowym tłem wyborczej gorączki jest lejący się tu i ówdzie asfalt na nowych drogach rowerowych:)
Oto krótka relacja z przedwyborczej (mamy przecież jeszcze II turę) wycieczki po placach budów na Jarotach i Nagórkach.
W czerwcu 2010 r. przedstawiono zakres prac dotyczący zaplanowanej infrastruktury rowerowej w Olsztynie, która ma powstać w tym oraz przyszłym roku. Dla przypomnienia, nowe inwestycje to m.in.:
* droga rowerowa po wschodniej stronie al. Sikorskiego (od Wańkowicza do Jarockiej),
* przedłużenie istniejącej drogi rowerowej przy ul. Krasickiego (od Murzynowskiego do Wańkowicza),
* budowa drogi rowerowej na przedłużeniu ul. Witosa (od Kanta do Jarockiej).
SIKORSKIEGO
Z punktu widzenia rowerzysty, aleja Sikorskiego nosi niechlubne piętno wszystkich ekip rządzących miastem w ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu lat... Na przebiegu około 4 kilometrów mamy tutaj:
> wszystkie rodzaje nawierzchni, które były i są stosowane z myślą o rowerzystach- muzealny odcinek z popękanych i krzywych płytek chodnikowych, betonową kostkę fazowaną, takąż samą bezfazową oraz asfalt (na razie, i oby tak pozostało, tylko w kolorze "naturalnym")
> przegląd rozwiązań: drogę rowerową oddzieloną od chodnika pasem zieleni, drogę rowerową bez fizycznej separacji od chodnika, ciąg pieszo-rowerowy
> gdzieniegdzie udało się zastosować przejazdy dla rowerzystów, ale kolejne boczne uliczki trzeba już przekraczać pieszo...
^ Cele podróży rowerzystów są bez wątpienia zlokalizowane po obu stronach tej arterii, a prowadzony remont ma przywrócić możliwość jazdy także po jej wschodniej stronie. Jest jednak kilka szkopułów- remontowany odcinek będzie o wiele krótszy niz planowany- tylko od skrzyżowania z Wańkowicza do wyjazdu z parkingu dla ciężarówek (100 metrów), a dodatkowo na tym fragmencie mamy ekierkową (kanciastą) geometrię ominięcia przystanku autobusowego oraz zdecydowanie złe promienie łuków. ^
^ I jeszcze ciekawostka: czyżby dwa kierunki jazdy miały być rozdzielone dwoma odcieniami asfaltu? ^
KRASICKIEGO
Do tej pory ścieżka zaczynająca się od skrzyżowania z ul. Synów Pułku i biegnąca wzdłuż ul. Krasickiego kończyła się zgodnie z niedobrą manierą olsztyńskich speców, czyli była urwana tuż przed kolejnym skrzyżowaniem. Nie trzeba wielu słów, aby opisać, że takie rozwiązania nie dają cyklistom ani wygody ani bezpieczeństwa.
Remont spowodował doklejenie kolejnego odcinka drogi rowerowej (tym razem z asfaltobetonu i z separacją pasem zieleni), biegnącego równolegle do jezdni. Nowy fragment kończy się jednak po około 300 metrach, jakżeby inaczej- dokładnie przed następnym skrzyżowaniem (z ul. Wańkowicza).

Powyższe zdjęcia dobrze obrazują kłopoty, jakie mogą pojawiać się wśród użytkowników w związku z "mieszaniem" różnych rodzajów nawierzchni (kostka vs. asfalt, czerwona vs. czarna barwa nawierzchni).
A przecież nawierzchnia może (powinna!) wspomagać oznakowanie pionowe i poziome, będąc najbardziej widocznym wyróżnikiem przeznaczenia danego elementu drogi. ^
^ Tak wygląda zakończenie drogi rowerowej przed ul. Wankowicza.
Warto wspomnieć o efektach wielu naszych interwencji i wniosków- w większości przypadków nie trzeba już przypominać zarządcy drogi rowerowej o jej kompletnym oznakowaniu. ^
^ Chociaż tutaj drogowcy chyba zapomnieli, że prowadzą prace na otwartej drodze i wymaga to odpowiednich sposobów zabezpieczenia oraz oznakowania. ^
WITOSA
Nowa droga rowerowa powstaje wraz z budowanym przedłużeniem ul. Witosa w stronę ul. Jarockiej, a dalej do skrzyżowania z przedłużaną właśnie al. Sikorskiego. Mamy tutaj asfalt ceglastej barwy oraz długie odcinki separacji od chodnika za pomocą pasa zieleni.
^ Zakończenie drogi rowerowej na skrzyżowaniu Witosa/Kanta. ^
^ Skrzyżowanie Witosa/Janowicza. Geometria łuków drogi rowerowej jest miejscami nieco dziwaczna. ^
^ Prace trwają. Na razie asfalt urywa się na skrzyżowaniu Witosa z Janowicza, ale widać, że dalszy ciąg (do Jarockiej) powstanie niedługo. ^
^ Droga rowerowa powstaje także na fragmencie ul. Janowicza (od skrzyżowania z Witosa... ^
^ ...do skrzyżowania z Flisa). ^
^ Na większości przejazdów dla rowerów udało się wykonawcom zapewnić niemal zerowe uskoki. ^
^ Na niektórych jednak uskoki poprzeczne są większe niż przewidziany w przepisach 1 cm. ^
